As I pen this blog, I’m still thinking back to the beauty I witnessed this morning. Even more beautiful were the words spoken by the Holy Spirit. My drive to work is a solid 35 minutes, and that’s on a good day. Some days I leave after the sun has risen, other mornings, I leave as the sun is dawning. This particular morning it was the latter. My drive is somewhat all freeway, and takes me west. So, the sun always rises from behind me. 

In my mirror, I’m captivated by the most beautiful hues of orange, pink, and blue. The mix of which gave me pause. I was quite awestruck. You’d think I had never seen a sight, and in actuality, I hadn’t. In that moment the Holy Spirit softly confirmed my thoughts. 

“No two skies have ever been the same. I’m just that specific!” 

My thoughts immediately shifted to my life. Areas that have seemed dormant. Or, the prayers that have yet to be answered. Nothing is by chance when it comes to our Father. Our Father is specific enough to number the very hairs on our head (Luke 12:7). He is specific enough to perfectly knit each new day, and let me tell you. A new day is just that. A NEW DAY! 

Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning (Lamentations 3:23). Maybe you’re struggling in this season with uncertainty. Perhaps, things have become stagnant, but know this, it is a NEW day. I say this not to be cliche, and not because we’ve entered a new year, but because we serve a God that makes all things new! 

In every day, at any moment God is capable of turning around that which is old. He alone has the power of regenerating the very things we’ve thought to be incapable of new life. When God gives us the new, there is no trace of the old.

Comparable to what happens within us at the point salvation. The old is passed away, and all things become new, including us (2 Corinthians 5:17). Nothing is ever the same when God is involved. He is meticulous enough to create the new in everything that His hands touch.

Perhaps last year, or even last week wasn’t the best. Oh, sis if only you would cling to the hope that is in the One who begins and ends each day. His power to give you the new is assured. He actually desires to give you something new, and fresh. Like the unique skies I witnessed, when God gives us the new, it comes without imperfection, and is beautiful in every way.

At the very moment that God spoke light into our existence, we’ve never seen the same morning twice. Each new day has been a NEW day. So, how much more is He able to do for you? I celebrate the new thing that He is doing in and for YOU! I pray that you move forward into this new year with this same expectation!
